Location: Jackson Medical Center Classroom
Details: New class begins the first Tuesday of each month and runs for four consecutive Tuesdays.
Start time is 6:30pm. Topics covered include signs and symptoms of diabetes, sugar monitoring, nutritional management, medications, management of high and low episodes, potential complications, foot care and more. Participants receive a free glucose monitor at the first class of the month.

Details: Diabetes education classes offered weekly. Taught by a team of Certified Diabetes Educators including RN, Dietitian, Social Worker, and Exercise Physiologist. Covers medications nutrition exercise monitoring problem solving self-management and other issues. Individual sessions and medical nutrition therapy also available. Physician referral required.
